Researchers have been working on the development of portable ion trap mass spectrometers based on vacuum UV lamps and acetone-assisted photochemical ionization-thermal analysis (Anal. Chem, 2019). Due to the large difference in boiling points of various drugs, the sensitivity of difficult-to-volatile drugs in mixed drug testing is low, and the peak time of volatile drugs is short, which makes it difficult to test the total composition of mixed drugs. In order to solve this problem, the research designed a new type of optical flash thermal analysis system. In 3s, the drug near the focus of the analytical pool can be heated to 290 °C, which realizes the rapid vaporization of difficult volatile drugs. Compared with the past, the instrument has improved the detection sensitivity of the less volatile drug narcotine by more than 60 times. In the demonstration application stage, the ion trap mass spectrometer has repeatedly penetrated the first line of anti-drug in Yunnan, and continuously improved the details of the instrument according to the results of the field test. It has successively been in the Qinglongchang checkpoint of Yuxi City, the frontier inspection station of Dehong Prefecture, and the Tengchong City. In the field, Baoshan City, Mojiang City and other places have been applied in the field, and the suspected opium, cannabis, fentanyl capsules and other mixed drugs seized on the spot were successfully identified.
