AQSIQ halts 33 food additives
The General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine announced a few days ago that, according to the “Replied to Questions Concerning the Use of Food Additives†(GB2760-2011) issued by the General Office of the Ministry of Health, food additive manufacturers are prohibited from producing 33 kinds of propyl paraben etc. Food additives, 33 kinds of food additives that the company has produced are forbidden to be sold as food additives, and food production enterprises are prohibited from using them. At present, the quality inspection department has stopped accepting production license applications for these 33 kinds of food additives.
