Diesel engine market: The top four occupy more than half of the market share

According to the data from the China Automotive Industry Association in the first half of 2010, the top 20 companies in China's auto diesel engine sales have obvious “One Big Three”: Yuchai, which supplies light, medium, and heavy-duty diesel engines, maintains sales volume for the first time. Its sales volume is approximately 1,500 to 200,000 units higher than that of the second-tier FAW, Quanchai, and Weichai. FAW, Quanchai, Weichai and the companies behind have obvious leading advantages.

The four companies, Yuchai, FAW, Quanchai, and Weichai, accounted for more than half of the Chinese diesel engine market. In the first half of this year, the number of sales of 25 major diesel engine companies in the China Automotive Industry Association (CAAS) was 2,096,003 units, and the total sales volume of these four companies was 12,000, 31 units, accounting for 57.2%.

From the perspective of sales growth rate, only Weichang Diesel has a high growth rate of 115.69% among these four companies, and the other three companies only have an increase of 20% or 30%.
