The fault diagnosis and elimination method is that if there is oil on the commutator, the commutator and the carbon brush will be separated, and the current cannot be delivered. Therefore, when lubricating the generator bearing, do not add too much oil to avoid spilling oil and polluting the commutator. The oil-filled commutator and carbon brush should be wiped clean.

If the carbon brush is too short or the spring is damaged, the carbon brush and the commutator are in poor contact, which is a common cause of the generator not generating electricity. At this point should be more, spring or carbon brush. The contact surface of the new carbon brush is sanded with fine sandpaper to make it fit perfectly with the commutator face.

When the mica sheet is higher than the commutator, the carbon brush is suspended, and a strong spark occurs between the commutator and the carbon brush during operation of the generator, and the output voltage is lowered. At this time, the mica sheet can be cut to a lower than the commutator piece by a hacksaw, and if the excitation coil is broken, the generator does not generate electricity. You can use the test lamp or the universal electric test first, and then confirm that the excitation coil is disconnected and then develop the motor and weld the broken head.

If all of the above are normal, the generator still does not generate electricity, it may be that the stator magnetic pole is not broken. When the generator rotor rotates, the stator remanence is electromagnetically induced to generate current. This current is supplied to the excitation coil to gradually increase the generator voltage. Long-term storage of the generator with severe impact or overheating will cause the residual magnet to disappear. This phenomenon can also occur with new generators.

If the generator has no remanence, the solution is to gently press the movable contact of the interceptor at the high speed of the engine to close it for a short time. The current of the battery is magnetized by the excitation coil to the stator pole, and the generator will generate electricity immediately. Connect the battery terminal of the regulator and the generator magnetic field column with a wire.

If the newly built generator does not generate electricity, it may be that the excitation coil is reversed or the wire is connected incorrectly.

If the DC generator voltage is too low, the battery cannot be charged. At this time, the regulator and the belt tightness should be checked first. If the adjustment still has no effect, the rotor coil or the excitation coil may be damaged. It can be tested with 220, test lamp or instrument. If the insulation of the coil is damaged, the coil should be replaced.

If the temperature of the generator is too high during operation, check whether the voltage and current are normal and whether the rotor and the magnetic pole touch each other. The cause of the collision between the rotor and the pole is damage to the bearing or bending of the rotor shaft. After the rotor shaft is bent, it cannot be corrected and only a new one can be replaced.

In order to prevent or reduce the occurrence of DC generator failure, it is necessary to pay attention to timely maintenance. First of all, to clean the outside, according to technical requirements oil injection, inspection, belt tightness and wiring; secondly, should always keep the carbon brush and commutator clean, timely replacement of worn carbon brushes; is often checked, commutator, appeared in time to deal with.

For small tractors, the general method is to shake the crankshaft without decompression. If you feel strenuous, or even shake, it means that the compression is normal; otherwise, the valve leaks, when the valve leaks, the lighter should clean the valve and the valve seat, and the heavy one should grind the valve. Therefore, when the tractor is stored for a long time, the engine must be in a compression stroke and the valve is closed.

Burn the tile. Long-term parking, engine oil in the main oil passage main shaft and connecting rod and other oil circuit has leaked light. If the engine is poorly lubricated when starting, it will run at high speed after starting, which will cause burnt tile accident. Therefore, when the tractor parked for a long time is first started, it must be shaken several times to make the friction surfaces of each part fully lubricated before it can be parked, and run at low speed for a period of time.
