The briefing committee held that there are four major safety issues in the current development of wind power: First, in terms of equipment manufacturing, most of the wind turbines that have been put into operation do not have low-voltage ride-through capability, and are easily removed from the grid when a grid failure causes the system voltage to drop; In terms of wind farm construction, some project owners do not have strict project quality management, some construction unit construction quality management and supervision unit supervision and management of project construction quality are not in place; Third, access to large-scale wind farms in wind farm access, The research on the overall safety of power grids needs to be strengthened. Some grass-roots power grid enterprises do not strictly control the access to wind farms, and they are allowed to connect wind farms that have not passed on-grid safety assessment without authorization to the grid. Fourth, some wind farms operate in terms of wind farm operation. The safety management system is not perfect, and the on-site operational procedures are not perfect. The reactive power management and secondary system management do not meet the requirements of power grid security. The power dispatching agencies need to further strengthen the dispatch management of wind farms.

The data shows that as of the end of 2010, China's wind turbine lifting capacity was 41.82 million kilowatts, of which the grid connection capacity was only 31.07 million kilowatts. The "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" outline clearly states that in the next five years China must strengthen the construction of grid-connected projects to effectively develop wind power.
