Sander: How to solve the problem that the grinding beads are easy to break?

Guide

If the machine is cleaned with a low viscosity liquid, the beads will wear on the other beads or the contact parts of the sander. In order to obtain the longest service life of the grinding beads and sand mill, it is best to use resin for cleaning and maintain sufficient material viscosity during the production process.

First identify the "broken beads" look, if the particles are more round, rather than sharp edges (like broken glass), is the natural wear of the beads. These beads may be ground into various shapes such as discs, ovals or smaller spheres, a condition known as wear, except that the degree of wear is different.

From the point of view of force, when the dispersing disc transfers energy to the beads, if the viscosity of the liquid is very low (for example, when cleaning the sander with solvent or water), the thrust of the material is not large enough, and the beads are likely to come into contact with the dispersing disc. Breaking is also an important reason why we recommend minimizing cleaning time.

Many people came across the old beads and put them into the new beads to test the broken beads. Let's analyze the problem and explore the solution.

1. The internal contacts of the sander are not installed correctly.

Loose discs are loose or have sharp corners on the edge of the disc, foreign objects inside the sander, loose internal valves, etc., which may cause the beads to break.

2. The sander contact is worn or not installed correctly.

The dynamic separator or screen is worn out, and the screen is broken or reversed, causing the grinding media to pass through the separator and into the feed pump, so that the pump will crush the beads before they are blocked or shut down.

3, back pressure

When the feed pump is turned off, the residual pressure in the sander presses the beads into the pump so that when the pump is started again, it crushes the beads. One-way valves are not necessarily reliable and sometimes allow the beads to pass before the valve closes.

4, grinding beads backlog

When the grinding beads are piled up at the bottom of the sander and the speed of the working pump is too fast, the grinding beads will concentrate at the exit of the horizontal sander, causing the grinding beads to break. However, the sanding machine is started by the "on-off-on-off" jog mode, and the accumulated grinding beads are loosened, which does not occur.

5, disperse disc wear

There are many reasons why this can happen, so the cause is harder to determine. The edge of the dispersing disc is the place where the rotational speed of the dispersing disc is the largest. If the edge of the dispersing disc is ground unevenly, it is highly likely that a strong eddy current is formed. In addition, for the vertical mill, the beads are concentrated by their own weight to the vicinity of the edge of the lower dispersion disk.

The excessive wear of the dispersing disc is largely caused by the slow rotation of the feed pump and the excessive density of the grinding beads. In general, we can solve this problem by replacing worn parts with the same batch of beads.

6. Mixing the grinding beads produced by different manufacturers

In general, the density of products from different manufacturers is different. If the beads produced by different manufacturers are mixed, the mutual wear between the beads will be aggravated.

7. Add used beads to the sander

Obviously, doing so will also exacerbate the mutual wear between the beads, which will affect their useful life.

8, the impact of garbage or worn beads

In actual production, there are often garbage or some small worn beads attached to the screen, on the shaft, on the bracket or in some other machine corners. When adding new beads, these small things may loose from the attachment position. Take off and mix it into the newly added beads, which will cause the illusion that the new beads will also break. If the impact is not great, you can let these small things naturally discharge after a certain period of time. Otherwise, you must completely dump the old beads and replace them with new ones.

9, the way to clean the beads

The cleaning beads can be washed with water, solution or resin according to the formula. Keep it at a low speed during cleaning. Press the “Start-Close” button of the grinder for intermittent cleaning.
