Luminaires shall not be directly installed on flammable articles; when the high temperature parts of the luminaire surface are close to combustibles, heat insulation and heat dissipation measures shall be taken. In substations, no lamps shall be installed directly above the high-voltage and low-voltage power distribution equipment and busbars. Lamps installed outdoors shall not be less than 3 meters from the ground; when installed on a wall, the height from the ground shall not be less than 2.5 meters.
2 screw base lamp wiring requirements
2.1 The phase wire should be connected to the terminal of the center contact, and the neutral wire should be connected to the screwed terminal.
2.2 The lamp's insulating shell should not be damaged or leaked.
2.3 For switch caps, the switch handle should not have exposed metal parts. For ceiling lamps equipped with incandescent bulbs, the bulbs should not be close to the lampshade; when the distance between the bulb and the insulating table is less than 5mm, insulation measures should be taken between the bulb and the insulating table.
3 luminaire installation requirements
3.1 When a steel pipe is used as a hanger of a lamp, the inner diameter of the steel pipe should not be less than 10 mm; the thickness of the steel pipe wall should not be less than 1.5 mm.
3.2 The light of the hanging chain lamp shall not be subject to tension, and the lamp line shall be forked together with the hanging chain.
3.3 Cords Suspended lamps should be protected at both ends of the cord; the two ends should be tinned.
3.4 The deviation of the centerline of lamps installed in rows in the same room or place should not exceed 5mm.
3.5 Fluorescent lamps and high-pressure mercury lamps and their accessories should be used together. The installation location should be easy to check and maintain.
3.6 Fixtures should be firm and reliable. The number of screws or bolts for fixing each lamp shall not be less than 2. When the diameter of the insulating table is 75 mm or less, one screw or bolt may be used for fixing.
4 special lighting requirements
Emergency lights and evacuation lights used in public places should be clearly marked. Non-personal management of public lighting should be equipped with automatic energy-saving switch.
Each set of street lights shall be equipped with fuses on the phase lines. The conductors of the street light led by the overhead line should be waterproof bended at the entrance of the lamp.
5 Installation Requirements for Lighting Transformers of 36 Volt and Below
5.1 The power supply side should have short-circuit protection, and the rated current of its fuse should not exceed the rated current of the transformer.
5.2 The shell, core and any low voltage side or neutral point should be grounded or connected to zero.
6 Fixture Requirements Fixed on Moving Structures
Its wire should be laid inside the moving frame. The wires should not be subjected to tensile forces and wear during movement of the mobile frame. When the chandelier luminaire weight is more than 3 kg, it should be fixed by a pre-embedded hook or bolt; when the weight of the chandelier luminaire is more than 1 kg, a hanging chain should be added.
7 Metal Halide Lamp Installation Requirements
7.1 The installation height of the luminaire should be more than 5 meters. The conductor should be connected to the luminaire through the terminal and must not be near the surface of the luminaire.
7.2 Lamps must be used with triggers and restrictors.
7.3 Reflective lighting fixtures installed on the floor shall take protective measures.
8 Installation requirements for decorative lamps embedded in ceilings
8.1 The luminaire shall be fixed on a dedicated frame. The conductor shall not be close to the lamp housing and there shall be a margin in the lamp case. The frame of the luminaire shall be tightly attached to the ceiling surface.
8.2 The frame of the rectangular lamp should be parallel to the decorative surface of the ceiling. The deviation should not exceed 5 mm.
8.3 Open-type luminaires with combination of fluorescent tubes shall be arranged neatly and their metal or plastic spacers shall have no defects such as distortion.
9 Lantern installation requirements
The hook of a fixed lantern shall have a diameter of not less than the diameter of the hanging hook of the lamp, and shall not be less than 6 mm. For large lanterns, the fixtures and suspensions for ceiling lanterns shall be tested as 1.25 times the weight of the fixtures. The glass cover of a large-sized lighting fixture installed in an important place shall be designed to prevent the spatter from falling down after breaking.
10 neon installation requirements
10.1 The lamp should be intact and free of cracks.
10.2 The lamp should be fixed with a special insulating bracket and it must be firm and reliable. Special brackets can be made of glass tubes. The minimum distance between the fixed lamp and the surface of buildings and structures should not be less than 20 mm.
10.3 The length of the lamp for a neon dedicated transformer shall not exceed the allowable load length.
10.4 The location of the special transformer for neon lamps should be concealed and easy to overhaul, but it should not be installed in ceilings and should not be touched by non-maintenance personnel.
