Royston receives order for ship fuel management system

To improve fuel consumption and reduce greenhouse gas emissions, the Scottish Islands ferry operator Caledonian MacBrayne (CalMac) will install a new ship fuel management system for all of its large ferries.
After intense bidding, Royston successfully entered the second generation of the Enginei fuel management system for these ferries. The system uses Coriolis flowmeters and sonar to accurately monitor the fuel consumed by each engine, providing a variety of powerful voyage and ship data analysis and reporting, collecting data in real time, processing it and transmitting it to the shipowner to adjust the ship's speed in real time or Take other measures to reduce fuel consumption.
It is understood that the installation of the system in the CalMac ferry fleet has started this summer, and eight ships have been installed, and the remaining two ships will be installed during the annual maintenance period.
