Domestic water ecological environment monitoring lacks efficient water ecological environment data collection equipment for a long time, especially synchronous multi-parameter acquisition equipment and scientific research level data acquisition equipment have long relied on imports, and their independent research and development capabilities are weak. These imported advanced water quality monitoring devices are mostly contact point measurement modes using absorption spectroscopy and fluorescence spectroscopy. These devices need to be manually used in the field to be used in the application, or installed in point automatic monitoring stations. In the face of heavy monitoring requirements, there are still many shortcomings such as limited measurement data, low efficiency, and frequent equipment maintenance.
Remote sensing reflectance spectral imaging technology has been applied to satellite remote sensing to monitor water quality and water environment, and has been a research hotspot. Since 2010, the R&D team has independently developed the “open multi-model fusion algorithm†based on mastery of hyperspectral imaging technology to achieve chlorophyll a, phycocyanin, suspended solids, total nitrogen, total phosphorus and transparency. Synchronous extraction and high-precision measurement of water quality and water multi-parameters such as COD, ammonia nitrogen, dissolved organic matter, vegetation coverage, polluted mouth, and black odorous water.
Beginning in 2018, with the support of the Chinese Academy of Sciences' research equipment development project (YJKYYQ20170044), the team of associate researchers of the Institute of Optoelectronics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences developed a "water element multi-parameter telemetry core device" with independent intellectual property rights. The platform is integrated and built to form a series of special products such as “water ecological water quality telemetry UAV systemâ€, “black and odor water body inspection professional drone systemâ€, “handheld/shore-based fixed-point water quality monitoring systemâ€.
The product adopts advanced grating spectroscopic system and lightweight design, embedded in multi-model computing circuit and visual interface, with wide measuring surface, multiple parameters, multi-parameter simultaneous measurement, data image integration, non-contact telemetry, data result visualization, etc. advantage. It can be seamlessly integrated with platforms such as drones and unmanned ships. In particular, the UAV system can check the sewage outlets at the same time as the water quality data and image collection, including the sewage outlets hidden in the water and grass, and reveal the pollutants in a visual depth. Information on the spatial distribution and pollution degree of black and odorous water bodies provides direct evidence for environmental law enforcement.
At present, the project team has completed 4 sets of different machines, authorized one computer software copyright, applied for two national invention patents, and published one paper. The products have been widely tested and applied in some lakes and rivers and urban water bodies in the Yangtze River, Yellow River, Huaihe River, Haihe River, Lancang River, Pearl River and Lancang River. In the work of repairing the city of Wuhan in the Yangtze River ecological environment protection, it provides fast and efficient monitoring assistance for the pollution inspection of the Wuhan Environmental Protection Bureau.
