Electric vehicles will be put into batches and Hefei is expected to have a capacity of 50,000 units next year

The reporter learned from the “China Hefei private demonstration ceremony for the purchase of new energy vehicles” yesterday that it is expected that by the end of 2012, pure electric and hybrid vehicles produced by JAC will be put into the market in large quantities.

As a leading company in the province's automotive industry, JAC has achieved the first of two nationwide commercialization operations in terms of both the development of new energy automotive industry—sedans and passenger cars. As of the end of last year, Jiangqi has successfully completed the commercial operation of 585 pure electric private cars and 400 passenger cars (180 pure electric buses).

After the "Notice on Launching a Private Subsidy for Subsidies for New Energy Vehicles" was issued in 2010, five cities across the country launched a private subsidy pilot program for new energy vehicles, and Hefei was among them. Among them, the private purchase of plug-in hybrid passenger cars up to 50,000 yuan per vehicle subsidies, purchase of pure electric passenger vehicles up to 60,000 yuan per subsidy.

The reporter was informed that in 2010, the value of new energy automobile industry in Hefei reached 1 billion yuan. It is expected that in 2012, Hefei will have 23,000 new energy vehicles, 20 charging stations and 23,000 charging piles. The annual production capacity of new energy vehicles will reach 50,000 units, and the total industrial value will exceed 10 billion yuan. It is expected that by the end of 2012, new energy vehicles featuring Tongyue Pure Electric and Heyue Hybrid will be launched in larger quantities.
