The First Financial reporter learned from China South Locomotive on July 18th that it had signed a large-scale fiber-steel crankshaft contract with ThyssenKrupp of Germany and plans to deliver it at the end of August this year. This is also the first order for China to export a large crankshaft to Europe.

CSR sources in China told the reporter that in the past, the domestic fiber-filled crankshafts all depended on imports for a long time. Since May of this year, CSR's first local crankshafts have been sold to South Korea, which is the first time that China has exported large-scale all-fiber steel crankshafts in batches.

According to the reporter’s understanding, with the slowdown in investment related to railway construction, traditional railway locomotive manufacturers, including CSR and CNR, are increasing their efforts to expand into related industries. Among them, CSR puts the construction machinery industry in the field. As an important support for the company's new industrial strategy.

According to CSR estimates, during the “12th Five-Year Plan” period, the annual growth rate of China's construction machinery industry is expected to reach 17%, and annual market sales will reach 900 billion yuan. With the accelerated progress of infrastructure construction such as high-speed railways, urban rail transit, and expressways, it will also promote the development of the domestic construction machinery industry.
