(4) The ore loss is small and the precious mineral resources can be fully recovered.

(5) Short construction time and low capital investment.

(6) Good working conditions and safe work.

However, open pit mining has also brought a series of problems:

(1) During the mining process, the dust is large when piercing, blasting, loading, transporting, unloading and discharging. When the automobile is transported, the toxic and harmful gases are discharged into the atmosphere. The harmful components of the dumping ground flow into rivers, lakes and farmland. Etc., causing pollution to the atmosphere, water and soil, and open pits destroy the surface topography.

(2) The dump site occupies a large amount of land resources.

(3) It is susceptible to climatic conditions.
