Yuchai ranked 19th among China's top 500 machinery enterprises

July 26, 2011, 2011 (ninth) "China Machinery 500 Research Report" (hereinafter referred to as "Report") and "World Machinery 500" conference was held in Beijing. The "Report" revealed that Yuchai Group ranked 19th in China's Top 500 Machinery Enterprises and 29th in China's Top 100 Machinery Brands, both up by 1 in 2010; it ranked first among Guangxi enterprises.

The event was sponsored by the China National Association of Machinery Industry Enterprise Management Association, the Institute of Mechanical Industry Economic Management and the World Managers Group. The “Report” still adopts the Corporate Competitiveness Evaluation Model (CVA) designed by international enterprise laboratories in accordance with international conventions. It combines data on sales revenue, total profits, asset profitability, and growth rate of the company in 2010, combined with industry differences and prestige. Indexes and other factors were comprehensively analyzed.

According to the data from the World Enterprise Laboratory Survey, the sales revenue of the “China Machinery 500” enterprises in 2011 totaled RMB 5,941,109 million, an increase of 30.27% over the previous year; the total profit was RMB 483.131 billion, an increase of 30.77% over 2010. Under the complex domestic and international economic environment, the Chinese machinery industry has consolidated and expanded its achievements in responding to the impact of the international financial crisis. Production and sales have achieved rapid growth, the benefits have set a new record in history, and structural adjustments have made remarkable progress. In particular, among the top 20 large companies, 12 are in the auto manufacturing industry; the auto industry still achieves rapid growth in production and sales, and its contribution to the machinery industry and even to the national economy is still large. It is the “engine” for the growth of the machinery industry in 2010.

Yuchai Group is the manufacturer of the internal combustion engine with the most complete product spectrum in China and the manufacturer of the medium and small-sized full-hydraulic excavators with the most comprehensive product spectrum in China. In 2010, Yuchai Group achieved sales revenue of RMB 36.8 billion. In recent years, Yuchai has been the first domestic R&D and mass-producing country in terms of 3, 4, and 5 engines, and successfully developed China's first Euro VI technology prototype, resulting in a significant increase in its core competitiveness.

It is reported that in 2011, the “China Machinery 500” total came from including general equipment manufacturing, transportation equipment manufacturing, electrical machinery and equipment manufacturing, special equipment manufacturing, instrumentation and cultural office machinery manufacturing, metal products, and integrated products. 500 companies in seven industries were selected. "World Machinery 500" In 2011, there were a total of 81 companies in China, ranking third in the world.

Zirconium Diboride

Zirconium Diboride (ZrB2) is a highly covalent refractory ceramic material with a hexagonal crystal structure. Zirconium Diboride Tech Grade is an ultra high temperature ceramic (UHTC) with a melting point of 3246 °C. This along with its relatively low density of ~6.09 g/cm3 (measured density may be higher due to hafnium impurities) and good high temperature strength makes it a candidate for high temperature aerospace applications such as hypersonic flight or rocket propulsion systems. It is an unusual ceramic, having relatively high thermal and electrical conductivities, properties it shares with isostructural titanium diboride and hafnium diboride.

Zirconium Diboride Powder parts are usually hot pressed (pressure applied to the heated powder) and then machined to shape. Sintering of ZrB2 is hindered by the material's covalent nature and presence of surface oxides which increase grain coarsening before densification during sintering. Pressureless Sodium Hexametaphosphate sintering of Zirconium Boride Raw Material is possible with sintering additives such as Boron Carbide and carbon which react Titanium Dioxide with the surface oxides to increase the driving force for sintering but mechanical properties are degraded compared to hot pressed ZrB2.
