The first electromagnetic compatibility standard for construction machinery industry was issued

Recently, China’s first safety standard for electromagnetic compatibility of construction machinery undertaken by Zoomlion GB/T28554-2012 “Electromagnetic Compatibility Requirements for Construction Machinery with Power Supply Units in Industrial Machinery Electrical Equipment” was formally issued by the National Standardization Management Committee. This marks that All along, the EMC test of engineering machinery products has been broken by relying on European and American standards.

This standard systematically specifies the technical specifications necessary for the evaluation of the EMC performance of construction machinery in the form of internal power supply units such as mobile cranes, concrete pump trucks, and sanitation vehicles, as well as test methods and guidelines that meet the standards.

It is reported that China's construction machinery industry is currently still largely blank in its research on electromagnetic compatibility of products. The main reason is that China lacks a complete system of test technologies and testing environments. On the other hand, China does not have its own electromagnetic compatibility technology standards. This allows Chinese products to enter the European and American markets only when they refer to the standards of others. Without their own right to speak, they will not be able to surpass the European and American technologies. In order to break this situation, Zoomlion actively declared and undertook the completion of the construction of the country’s first corporate key laboratory, and applied for and assumed the first national key basic research and development plan project completed by the enterprise— Research on the key technologies of the electromagnetic compatibility of electrical systems for construction machinery is now being compiled and released. This is the first safety standard for electromagnetic compatibility of construction machinery in China. This means that Zoomlion leads the development of the Chinese industry, and is in line with the world’s advanced technologies and standards. Another solid step has been taken.
