This is the first time in China that horizontal well logging construction has been performed using a self-developed cased well horizontal well retractor, which fills the domestic gap. As of July 21, the technology has successfully performed variable density logging and seven-parameter production of horizontal well logging projects in field tests of four horizontal wells.

In recent years, with the implementation of horizontal wells in the Liaohe Oil Region, the number of completions of horizontal wells has increased dramatically. However, due to the special wellbore structure of horizontal wells, the logging instrument cannot rely on gravity to decentralize to the horizontal well segment. It can only rely on the drill pipe to transport the instrument to the target layer, and complete the monitoring task by starting the drill. Due to frequent tripping of drilling rigs and longer well-draining time, the cost is wasted, drilling speed is increased, and casing wear of drilling tools to large-slope sections and horizontal sections is increased. In order to improve the horizontal well completion technology and meet the urgent needs of the horizontal well logging and dynamic monitoring market, after the development of the “horizontal casing well tractor” was listed as a major scientific and technological project of the Group's 11th Five-Year Plan, Changcheng logging technicians The development of horizontal well logging equipment to enter the technology and solve the dynamic monitoring of construction technology as an ongoing exploration of important issues.

With the support of the Group's Science and Technology Management Department, Great Wall Logging Co., Ltd. has conducted technical cooperation with related domestic institutions. After three years of hard work, the Group made breakthroughs in the major scientific and technological projects for the 11th Five-Year Plan, and finally successfully developed its own intellectual property rights. The success of the “casing horizontal well tractor” research project with the tractor as the core technology provides a faster, more economical and safer new process for well logging of horizontal wells in cased wells, tapping potentials, finding water, and plugging for old wells. Water and adjustment of injection and production relations provide technical support, and also provide a new technological means for dynamic monitoring of horizontal wells. It is of great significance to determine the remaining oil distribution and improve oil and gas recovery.
