According to statistics, as of July this year, Hunan has invested in 110 enterprises in the African region, with a contractual investment of US$750 million. Africa is a region with a large share of foreign contracted projects in our province. From January to July this year, our province is in Africa. The newly signed contracts for foreign contracted projects amounted to US$760 million, with a turnover of US$780 million, accounting for more than 50% of the province's foreign engineering turnover, mainly concentrated in Algeria, Uganda, Mali and other countries.

The import and export of Hunan and Africa grew rapidly. From January to July this year, our province imported and exported 9.7 billion US dollars to Africa, an increase of 73.3% year-on-year, of which exports were 580 million US dollars, up 64.3% year-on-year, and imports were 400 million US dollars, up 88.3% year-on-year. .

In recent years, the province has used a number of domestic and foreign platforms to organize a number of economic and trade activities in West Asia and Africa, especially for two consecutive years of large-scale economic and trade activities.

In 2015, the “African National Envoys to China” was held. More than 50 diplomatic envoys from 36 countries in Africa were invited to come to Hunan. Through exchanges and field trips, Hunan was promoted and promoted, showing the new image of Hunan's open development. It has broadened the historical opportunity for economic and trade exchanges and cooperation between Hunan and Africa.

In 2016, the “Hunan·Africa International Capacity Cooperation and Cross-border Matchmaking Meeting for Industrial and Commercial Enterprises” was held. 12 ministerial officials, 6 ambassadors to China, more than 170 foreign government officials and entrepreneur representatives came to Hunan and Africa. Ethiopia-Hunan Industrial Park is an industrial park built by Hunan in Africa. It is China's leading sample board development area in Africa. It is also the only overseas industry in China that is jointly promoted by the provincial government and the Ethiopian central government and deeply integrates many resources. The manufacturing cooperation park has created a new model of China-Africa capacity cooperation and China's establishment of a foreign economic and trade cooperation park.

At present, 8 companies including Sany Heavy Industry, Changsha Futian Automobile and Hengyang TBEA have confirmed their intention to enter the park and signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Ethiopian Investment Committee on investment in Ethiopia.

The Hunan Coal Mining and Mapping Bureau, the Provincial Bureau of Geology and Mineral Resources, and the Hunan Gold Group will form a mining alliance to jointly explore and develop Lesotho minerals.

In addition, Hunan Nonferrous Metals Exploration Bureau cooperated with Li Group to conduct water resources evaluation and exploration on the sugarcane plant of Lishi Group in Jigawa State, Nigeria. Hunan key industries and internationally renowned brands cover 11 categories of engineering contracting, engineering machinery, rail transportation, agriculture, mining, finance, and new energy, forming construction machinery, electronic information and new materials, petrochemicals, automobiles and parts. 10 advantageous industrial clusters such as lead-zinc hard alloy and deep processing. At present, many countries in Africa are relatively lacking in manufacturing capacity, industrial systems are incomplete, a large number of products need to be imported, and they are eager to improve their industrialization level.
