Haiyan County's monthly foreign trade exports hit a record high

According to customs statistics, Haiyan County exported 1.6205 billion US dollars in August, an increase of 20.3% year-on-year, and the monthly export volume hit a record high in sea salt exports. From January to August this year, the county's total foreign trade import and export value was 1.363831 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of 6% year-on-year, of which exports were 1.08118 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of 7.6% year-on-year, and imports were 280.21 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of 0.5% year-on-year.

The recent growth of the U.S. economy is relatively strong and the European market is also recovering. Benefiting from the improvement of the external market environment, Haiyan's exports to Europe and the United States have shown rapid growth this year. In the first eight months, Haiyan exported 298.18 million U.S. dollars and 259.43 million U.S. dollars to the United States and the European Union, respectively, an increase of 31.8% and 15.5% year-on-year respectively. In contrast, Haiyan's exports to ASEAN, Latin America and other markets have declined.

In the first 8 months, Danfoss Microchannel Heat Exchanger (Jiaxing) Co., Ltd. has exported a total of 5,214,400 U.S. dollars; Zhejiang Panyang Special Assembly Equipment Co., Ltd. has exported a total of 27,878,700 U.S. dollars; Jiaxing Mettech Technology Co., Ltd. has exported a total of 8,086 million U.S. dollars... From the point of view of export enterprises, the newly added companies of sea salt have a relatively obvious export pull effect, especially the growth of foreign-funded enterprises' export growth. With several large-scale foreign-funded enterprises putting into production and exporting their products abroad, the foreign-funded enterprises' export value for the eight months before Haiyan reached US$2.8375 trillion, an increase of 19% year-on-year.

Fasteners are the traditional products for the export of sea salt. In the first eight months, exports of steel products (including fasteners and stainless steel pipes) totaled USD 40.23 million, which represented a year-on-year growth of 7.8%, accounting for 37.2% of the county's total exports. In recent years, with the acceleration of the pace of transformation and upgrading of a number of enterprises, the product grade of export fasteners is also improving. Taking Yuxing Nuts as an example, from the past, it has exported ordinary nuts and nuts, and in recent years it has been able to produce high-end nut products that can be used in automobiles and construction machinery. The product quality is better and the price is higher. In the first 8 months, Yuxing Nuts exported USD 25.42 million, a year-on-year increase of 29%.

It is not only the practice of fastener exporters but also the practice of other companies to strive to upgrade their products. Jiaxing Haisheng Electronics Co., Ltd. exported 16.1 million US dollars in the first eight months, an increase of 30.5% year-on-year. In recent years, this company mainly produces car audio and accessories, cable and other products, related products have been UL, Germany VDE and other multinational safety certification. According to statistics, the export value of mechanical and electrical products for the first eight months of Haiyan reached USD 231.4 million, which already accounted for 21.4% of the total export volume of the county.

In addition, many measures in Haiyan County promote sea salt enterprises to “go out”. On the one hand, we conscientiously implemented relevant export preferential policies, and on the other hand introduced relevant policies to encourage enterprises to participate in domestic and international exhibitions and support enterprises to participate in export credit insurance.
