Goodyear recalls nearly 40,000 Wrangler silent armored tires

According to Reuters, Goodyear Tire Company announced that it will recall six Silent Armors equipped with Jeep Wrangler models.

This time, Goodyear will recall a total of 40,915 Wrangler silent armored tires. These tires were produced in 2009. The reason for the recall was that in some cases, these tires had cracks in their treads that led to accidents.

A Goodyear spokesperson stated that two people died in a car-over accident in Texas in the United States in 2011, and the vehicle that was involved in the accident was equipped with Goodyear silent armored tires.

Silent armored tires are mainly used in pickups, vans and SUVs. Of the 40,915 tires to be recalled, 27,000 are in use. Goodyear will notify owners on March 22 and replace tires free of charge.
