China to build world's first high-voltage grid energy metering standard device

Introduction: Recently, the reporter learned from the China Academy of Metrology that the “Eleventh Five-Year” science and technology support plan key project “Study on key technologies for high-voltage energy measurement standards and traceability transmission” was identified by the expert group. An appraisal committee composed of professors of Tsinghua University and Zhao Wei, a doctoral tutor, agreed that the research results of the project have complete independent intellectual property rights, filling the gap in the international high-voltage energy measurement field that has long been unable to achieve overall measurement calibration and traceability. .

According to the project leader and the associate researcher of the China Institute of Metrology, Zheng Zhixun introduced the subject as a sub-topic of the “Study on key technologies for energy-saving and emission-reduction certain energy measurement standards.” Five units, including the China Institute of Metrology, jointly tackle the problem. After many years of technical accumulation and more than one year of joint research, the research group successfully developed a 10kV/1000A high-voltage energy metering standard device and a new three-phase four-wire virtual ground 10kV high-voltage energy metering field calibration device, solving the problem of high-voltage energy metering equipment. The indoor verification of the actual grid parameters and the on-line overall verification/calibration of the electrical energy measurement equipment under high-voltage actual environmental conditions have made China the first internationally established 10kV high-voltage electrical energy measurement standard device and has a true high-voltage electrical grid. The country of electric energy measurement field calibration device is also the first country in the world to perform electric energy measurement field calibration practice on high voltage electricity network.

The results of the research and development of the project have been successfully linked to the network for more than 2 months, and more than 96,000 sets of on-site calibration data have been obtained, laying a solid foundation for the establishment of a complete high-voltage electric energy measurement system in China.

The research group also proposed a technical plan for the construction of a smart metering grid using the high-voltage energy metering field calibration device as a working standard. This not only solves the problem of energy metering in China, but also can save energy consumption of the transformer by real-time monitoring of the entire power grid. Billions of kilowatt-hours, elimination of trade errors of 20 billion kilowatt-hours a year, and providing accurate energy data for relevant state agencies and grid companies.
