At the meeting, Zhongxiang Shuang, chairman and president of China Merchants Investment Co., Ltd., introduced in detail the implementation plan of the three-base project of China Merchants New Energy Vehicle Industry. Shan Xiangshuang said that China Merchants and the parent fund set up by BYD will launch sub-funds in various demonstration cities, and then launch the Green Island special fund in each city. With the Sub-Fund as a platform, we will build a new energy technology industrial base, a new energy vehicle infrastructure network base and a new energy vehicle complex, Green Island, to promote the development of local new energy automobile industry. The so-called Green Island refers to the green fashion life circle based on green transportation. Its functions include electric vehicle charging, energy trading, car rental, consumer entertainment, innovation and entrepreneurship. According to Shan Xiangshuang, first of all, it will be piloted in cities with conditions. “There are five years and three years, and several cities in the country will pilot the establishment of 'Green Island'.”

Pure electric vehicles are used to solve the practical energy problems. Wang Chuanfu analyzed that if China's car ownership has grown from the current 160 million possession to 500 million, then the global oil industry will undergo tremendous changes, the consequences are unimaginable, and oil prices will skyrocket. "What we do is to replace one liter of gasoline with three kWh; use a piece of eight cents to solve the goal of seven dollars now." Wang Chuanfu said.
