Case celebrates the 50th anniversary of the birth of its skid steer at the BMW Show in Germany

2019 is the 50th anniversary of the Case skid steer loader. To celebrate this event, Case took the heavyweight to attend the 2019 German BMW Show, and its new SV340B skid steer loader and TV450B compact track loader made their debut in the European market.

In the late 1950s, skimmers became popular as farmers explored mechanized practices in small spaces such as barns and stables.

After acquiring the Uniloader brand in 1969, Case produced a skid steer loader in Burlington, Iowa. The factory moved to Wichita, Kan., in 1987, and production continues today. In 2017, the Wichita plant won the Silver Award in the World Class Manufacturing (WCM). In 2018, the Wichita factory wrote another milestone - ushering in the 300,000th machine.

The Case TV450B is Case's largest compact track-type skid loader ever powered by a 90-horsepower Fiat engine with CEGR and Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) aftertreatment systems. This model has a rated load of 2045 kg at 50% tipping load.

Other new features include a tighter control handle for improved control, improved forward and reverse line tracking, a closed-cell Bluetooth radio and enhanced control for cornering.
