According to reports, "Borouge 3" will use surplus upstream raw materials from the planned expansion of the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company in the United Arab Emirates. New capacity will be built next to the existing "Borouge 1" and "Borouge 2" petrochemical complex, which is located in Ruwais, Abu Dhabi, UAE. The energy expansion plan also includes a set of low-density polyethylene devices that are specifically designed to produce high-performance wire and cable materials. Borouge's existing polyethylene production capacity is 600,000 tons/year, and the Borouge 2 Phase expansion project will increase its production capacity to 2 million tons/year. Borouge 3 will expand polyolefin production
Borouge recently announced that the company has started a "Borouge 3 phase" feasibility study to further expand its polyolefin production scale in Abu Dhabi, adding about 2.5 million to the original production scale in 2014 Ton/year capacity, this expansion plan will increase Borouge's total polyolefin production capacity to 4.5 million tons per year.
