Affinia Automotive Filter Project Settled in Yantai Longkou

On the previous day, the Vickers Filter Project invested by Affinia Inc. was put into production at the Automobile Industrial Park in Longkou Development Zone, Yantai, Shandong Province. Longkou City leaders Liu Bingguo, Li Yongle and Liu Shujun attended the ceremony. Longkou Municipal Committee Deputy Mayor Li Yongle addressed the ceremony.

Li Yongle stated in his speech that the successful rollout of filter products marks a new beginning of the forward-looking and strategic layout of Affinia Group and Haimeng Machinery Co., Ltd. The Affinia Group, headquartered in Michigan, is the largest supplier of automotive aftermarket in the United States. In 2008, the Affinia Group and the city Haimeng Machinery Company successfully restructured and will invest 50 million US dollars in the new filter project settled in the city. The project started construction in April last year and has now completed the construction of 36,000 square meters of factory buildings and supporting facilities. Three production lines will be put into operation in the first half of this year, and two oil filter production lines will be put into operation in the second half of the year. Spin-on filters for light vehicles and cars will be put into production before the end of the year. After the first phase of the project is put into production, it can produce 25 million filters per year and realize sales revenue of 300 million yuan.
